As part of my daily work, I use these tools:

  3. Hotwire -- mostly turbo drive and stimulus
  4. VS Code with a few extensions to make working with Rails easy
  5. Astro -- mainly for static sites/landing pages
  6. Kafka
  7. Phobos
  8. Sidekiq
  9. Redis
  10. RubyMine
  11. PostgreSQL

"The best investment is in the tools of one's own trade." ~ Benjamin Franklin

Occasionally, I do use other tools mainly based on the requirements. I have good experience with a few and others I use at base minimum capacity although the tool itself can be a lot more powerful. And some are setup once per project so there is nothing much to change on a daily basis. Here I'm listing few

  1. Figma
  2. Apple Notes
  3. Datadog
  4. Sourcegraph
  5. Sentry
  6. Docker
  7. GitLab CI
  8. Render
  9. Rubocop
  10. Sendgrid
  11. ChartJS
  12. React
  13. Python -- mainly for pandas
  14. Datagrip

"We change our tools and then our tools change us." ~ Jeff Bezos

This is not an exhaustive list and likely I won't update it that frequently. Usually, you can expect some changes to the list every few months. Feel free to reach out to me to chat about any of these or some other tools that make life easy as a software engineer.
