Portrait of Ash Gaikwad, smiling

I am a Staff-level software engineer in Toronto. For ten years I built and ran backend systems at Silicon Valley companies. I have been the person who gets called when a launch is late, a system will not scale, or a team is arguing about the architecture.

Over the past two years I changed how I work. My own products (AI Agents Live, nivas and ShadowLink) are built and maintained by AI agents. That forced me to solve the problems your team will meet: how to trust code you did not type, how to cap spend, how to hand work between agents and people without losing the thread, and how to measure whether it is working.

I write about all of it here and on my Substack. I am not an AI evangelist. I use what works, and I will tell you when something does not.

I do not take clients in unified communications as a service (UCaaS) or closely related contact center products.

Where to read and where to find me

The proof page groups my writing by what it helps with. You can also see how I work with teams, or find me on GitHub.
